This is a new book destined to become a favorite of children of all ages everywhere!
Lizzie Young is nursing a family antique, carefully dusting all the priceless antiques while her grandfather, snoozes on the sofa Louis XVI
For good measure, even Lizzie dust Grandpa's bald head as the rest.
bell above the door tinkles as a woman named Mrs. Bradley Larchmont Third (no less), the breeze carries in a pink dress and stole, carrying the appropriate miniature poodle in her arms.
Mrs. Larchmont on buying spree, loading Lizzie down with all your purchases, when suddenly something you definitely have to have spies - grandfather
When Mrs. Larchmont Lizzie says that Santa is not for sale, Mrs. Larchmont pooh-poohs the idea, saying: "Nonsense, my dear. Everyone has a price ."
Mrs. Larchmont and the price he is willing to pay for Grandpa keeps getting bigger and bigger.
readers of all ages will identify with Lizzie as carefully considering what she could do with all the money every time Mrs. Larchmont ups price she is willing to pay for Grandpa.
Rich, vivid illustrations T. Kyle Gentry add fun discovering what Lizzie is predicted if it is accepted anywhere in Larchmont has to offer.
This delightful new picture book by Dotti Enderle and Vicki Sansum not such a great job of making picture books are designed to do - to engage young readers (and listeners) to the interesting story told through a combination of text and images written with just enough predictability gently pull them together to make a strange but satisfying conclusion.
There is a surprising added bonus on the back cover of the book. But I will not give that away here.
This book is another sure winner from the Flashlight Press.
