The Louis Gates Affair - Black Paranoia Or Discrimination

By now we all know about the circumstances of the incident between Louis Gates Jr., Harvard scientist and professor of race relations and Cambridge, Massachusetts police postaji.Ĺ okantan part of it is our own president, spoke about the local thing rather than a fact , saying that police "acted stupidly in the incident, the arrest of a black middle age man with a cane in his house." Now that the facts are in, we see that President Obama spoke too soon in an incident that had nothing to do with race.
It just seems that we have a case of liberal, intellectual and elitist, African-American (liberal label is conjecture, but given the geographic location would be hard pressed to find a conservative) who thought he was being treated as "common" black man by police, and because of their "state" became enraged when the police arrived and immediately called a racist cop.
No doubt the police reports and witnesses that Mr. Gates and worsens the situation became uncontrollable, yelling insults at the police, causing a significant disturbance and was arrested for that. I know that the persecution and harassment of blacks by the police is a stain on our society and caused great resentment towards blacks. There is no doubt that racial profiling is a reality, but given the fact that 70-80% of our prison inhabited by minorities, it is clear that the police can act aggressively in certain situations. However, most educated people, white or black, who will act respectful to the officer who was doing his job in a situation where he thought break-in was included. Apparently, Mr. Gates is thought to be intellectually "superior" to the white cop, and immediately proceeded with an attitude.

Rushing the court dilutes your sincerity about changing this country with respect to race relations. It also makes one wonder about his credibility as it tries to push universal health care down the throats of the unwilling population, even without reading the law.
Like the Cambridge Police spokesman said "the President called the guilty party stupid ".
